Great food, great service in a great location. If you get a nice sunny evening (rare, I know) then it really is wonderful.

I stayed in the suburb of Godalaming for 10 days and explored this part of England. The Stag was an amazing little pub that my host took me to. The ambiance, beer and food were outstanding and I loved the mill it was next to. Not sure when I'll be back in the countryside of England (I live in Texas) but I hope my travels take me here again!

Excellent food and drinks and a great little space. The service could be improved with a bit more oversight of the relatively young staff. We sat with empty drinks glasses for too long and our cheque took an age to arrive. However I would definitely go back and recommend the stag to friends and family.
